DAY ONE — Crossing to the Coast & The Garden of Giants
Begin your journey in Glasgow with a relaxed late‑morning departure west along the River Clyde. Enjoy a gentle coastal lunch in Gourock or Kilcreggan before crossing the water on the scenic Western Ferries route to Dunoon — a quiet threshold moment where the city gives way to the coast.
Continue to Benmore Botanic Garden, home to the iconic Avenue of Giant Redwoods, fern‑filled glens and hillside viewpoints. This dramatic garden sets the tone for the days ahead.
Arrive in Inveraray late afternoon and settle into Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa for a loch‑view dinner and a peaceful evening.

DAY TWO — Woodland Majesty, Reflection & Loch Awe Heritage
Begin with Ardkinglas Woodland Garden, a tranquil landscape of towering conifers, riverside paths and the UK’s tallest tree. Continue to Angus’ Garden, an intimate memorial garden of bridges, ponds and quiet reflection.
After a scenic lunch near Loch Awe, visit St Conan’s Kirk, one of Scotland’s most atmospheric architectural gems, followed by the iconic viewpoint at Kilchurn Castle — a perfect blend of stillness and heritage.
Return to Inveraray for a restorative evening at Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa.

DAY THREE — Coastal Gardens, Walled Sanctuaries & The Crinan Canal
Begin your day in Oban, with a gentle wander through Dunollie Castle’s walled garden, a sheltered, atmospheric space framed by the ruins above and views across the bay. Soft light, sea air and quiet corners set a calm tone for the morning.
Travel south to Arduaine Garden, a coastal sanctuary of mossy paths, rhododendron tunnels and hidden ponds. Follow the trail to the secret viewpoint overlooking the Sound of Jura — one of Argyll’s most peaceful coastal moments.
Enjoy a relaxed sea‑view lunch at Loch Melfort Hotel, perfectly placed between garden and coastline.
In the afternoon, experience a two‑hour Crinan Canal Cruise — a slow, scenic journey through “Britain’s Most Beautiful Shortcut,” passing locks, bridges, marinas and the vast Moine Mhor National Nature Reserve. It’s one of the most tranquil experiences in Argyll.
Return to Inveraray for dinner and a quiet evening by the loch.

DAY FOUR — Inveraray Castle Elegance & Return to Glasgow
Spend your final morning exploring the elegant gardens of Inveraray Castle, with sweeping lawns, curated borders and woodland paths along the River Aray. This is a gentle, fitting finale to the journey.
After light refreshments in Inveraray, travel back to Glasgow early afternoon for onward connections home via airport or rail.
